With the unfortunate events of the 2017 BC Wildfires that our province has experienced this year, Kia West wanted to show support to all those affected as well as all those working hard around the clock to battle the fires.
Throughout a two month span, Kia West donated a portion of our vehicle sales to the Red Cross Relief fund. We also wanted to provide an opportunity for our staff and customers to be involved with helping, which lead us to collect non-perishable foods, clothing, and supplies to be donated.
When August long weekend hit, we drove all the supplies up to Kamloops, BC, one of the main evacuation hubs, and donated them to the Food Bank and Salvation Army! It was a humbling experience to be right at an evacuation point and to see all the people that were there that had been effected.
A huge THANK YOU to all the wonderful staff and customers at Kia West, who pulled together to donate the supplies that we brought. It was truly amazing to see everyone come together during this difficult time!
